Johnstown Reinforces Commitment to Long Term Growth of Medical Cannabis Industry by Memorializing 1%
On Tuesday, June 20, 2017, Johnstown Village Council passed Resolution #2017-25 memorializing the tax rate (1%) for the medical cannabis industry. 1% is the tax rate for all businesses in the Village and lowest in the State of Ohio. Other communities remain at 2.0% or even 2.5%. The cost of doing business is lower in Johnstown.
Village to Memorialize 1% Tax Rate
We asked for input and you've responded to our proposed medical cannabis program tax rate. In keeping with our promise to treat the medical cannabis industry just as any other business in our Village, Johnstown Village Council will memorialize their commitment to maintaining a 1% tax rate at their June 20th, 2017 meeting.
